2 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda Safari – SAFARI OVERVIEW
This 2 days gorilla trekking Rwanda safari is a 1-night/2 days Rwanda gorilla safari in Volcanoes National Park, offering you a great opportunity to fulfill your dream of seeing the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat without spending a lot of money and time!
On this 2 days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari, you’ll visit Volcanoes National Park, which contains 5 volcanoes and a third (300) of the mountain gorillas left on Earth.
Also within this park is the final resting place of the American primatologist, Dian Fossey, a woman who transformed the way we see gorillas. Fossey spent 18 years of her life studying and protecting the Mountain Gorillas that were on the verge of extinction due to heartless poachers who were prepared to wipe them out for profit.
Sadly, in 1985 Fossey also became the victim of poachers, who saw her as a threat and murdered her. She is buried in a tomb at her former research Centre together with some of her favorite gorilla friends. And a hike to her tomb is the perfect complement to this 2 days Gorilla trek in Rwanda.
