Day 1 of the 4 Days Rwanda Safari Tour: Drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
Before embarking on this 4 day Rwanda gorilla trekking adventure, you will have first have an early breakfast at your place of stay in Kigali after which you will transfer with the help of our guide to Volcanoes National Park 116km about 3 Â½hours drive. You will arrive early for Lunch and simple relaxation. In the afternoon, you will either embark on the nature walk to the awesome twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera amidst magical bird sights and amazing scenery or you can opt for the Iby iwachu cultural village to have a detailed encounter of the Kinyarwanda Culture.
Accommodation: Virunga Lodge (Upmarket/luxury), Gorilla Mountain View Lodge (Midrange/standard) or Kinigi Guest House (Budget/basic).
Day 2 of the 4 Days Rwanda Safari Tour: Do gorilla tracking
While on your gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda, you will wake up for an early cup of coffee before gathering at Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking activity at 08:00 am always conducted by park rangers. This short briefing is designed to detail the dos and don’ts while trekking gorillas. After the briefing, you will traverse the jungle in search of the splendid mountain gorillas in the company of the park ranger guide which stretches between 2 to 8 hours. You will walk through the luxuriant vegetation, climb raised gradients, ascend down the valleys before you encounter the great mountain gorillas as they munch their food and get astonished by the young gorillas playing and demonstrating their tactics which will prompt you to use up your camera space unknowingly. You have one full hour encounter with gorillas after which you will retreat to your lodge for relaxation carrying with you a certificate of gorilla tracking.

Day 3 of the 4 Days Rwanda Safari Tour: Carry out Golden monkey tracking & visit the Dian Fossey site
On day 3 of your gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda, you will have your early breakfast and gather at the Park Headquarters at 08:00 am for another amazing primate encounter and the golden monkey tracking. This snub-nosed monkey is listed as endangered by the IUCN and only exists in the Virunga Area thus encountering it is a rewarding move to ever incorporate in your gorilla safari in Rwanda. It will take you half day to hike and spend time with these species before returning to the lodge for simple relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on the hike to the Karisoke research center to see the works of the leading gorilla conservationist that the world has ever had- Dian Fossey whose tomb also lies close to the center alongside that of her great silverback, Digit.

Day 4 of the 4 Days Rwanda Safari Tour: Drive Back to the City of Kigali.
After your relaxed breakfast, embark on a return journey to Kigali city 116km about 3 hours drive. You will enjoy the scenic views en route as you come to the end of your 4 days gorilla safari in Rwanda.

Ruzizi Tented Lodge is a luxury tented accommodation facility in Akagera National Park. It offers accommodation in a range of twenty (20) beds that are connected by walkways. Ruzizi Tented Camp has nine (9) tents which can up to twenty (20) clients.
Akagera Game Lodge is located within the park close to its southern entrance. The Lodge features a swimming pool, conference center and a tennis court. Accommodation is offered in standard rooms, deluxe, family and Junior Suite. The lodge features over 60 bed rooms.

Positioned at 2km distance outside Nyungwe Forest National Park. Gisakura Guesthouse offers accommodation in twin, double and triple rooms which are self-contained and with provision of warm water on request. The Guesthouse also features a good restaurant.
Accommodation at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel is offered in twelve (12) units and four (4) of these feature twin beds while the eight (8) are apartments featuring queen sized beds. The rooms are self-contained. The Hotel also has a restaurant and a well-stocked bar.

Volcanoes National Park, Also known as Parc Nationale des Volcanos in French, the Volcanoes National Park is located in the north west of Rwanda protecting the Rwandan side of the Virunga massif thus bordering with Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Congo’ Virunga National Park.
Nyungwe Forest National Park, Positioned in the south west of Rwanda, the Nyungwe Forest National Park overlooks the Democratic Republic of Congo border to the west and the Republic of Burundi in the south. The Nyungwe is noted to be one of the ancient forests of Africa and is known to have survived the last ice age. The Nyungwe forest is noted to one of the largest mountain forests in East Africa and at the moment is considered to be the most conserved forest in the Central African Highlands.
Akagera National Park is positioned in the north east of Rwanda overlooking the plains of Tanzania. It extends over a geographical spread of 1122 km2 and under a public private partnership arrangement of African Parks and Rwanda Development Board since 2010.The park is named after the River Akagera which is one of the sources of the Nile River which is the longest in the world. The River feeds in the chain of lakes that mark the floor of the Akagera plains including Lake Ihema which is the second largest in the whole of Rwanda.
