These rare and endangered creatures live in troops of up 100 individuals on the lower slopes of the forest, making them easier to trek (1-3 hours). They are wonderfully lively and entertaining to watch, leaping through the bamboo above your head! You spend up to an hour observing their charming antics.

Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, explore the historic Musanze Cave that was formed 65 million years ago by the lava flow from Sabyinyo and Bisoke volcanoes. The caves feature 31 entrances and stretch to 2 km inside. Retire for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
