Overview

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a habitat to 400 out of the 880 mountain gorillas that are currently known to be thriving in the world. The dense forested hilly landscapes present an ideal challenging hike that is beyond the gorillas themselves. The hike through lush flora marked with mature trees and yet with rich undergrowth that combine to make the park impenetrable are worthy encountering. The park is listed as the number one birding spot in Africa by the Africa Bird Club and more importantly is an ancient home of the Batwa community who are noted to be the first inhabitants of the East African region.  The combination of these makes the gorilla safari in Bwindi worth undertaking.
